Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who isn’t too popular in his home state of Nevada, has exempted Nevada from the cost of the Medicaid expansion called for in the Baucus health care bill. Wow, what a coincidence. Other “high needs” states will also be exempt, leaving the rest of us to pick up the tab. We don’t know for sure which “high needs” states will get this sweetheart deal, because Dirty Harry won’t reveal that information. Some believe Michigan, Oregon and Rhode Island will be the recipients of Dirty Harry and Mad Max’s good will. You’ll never guess why.
