Now Dear Leader Wants to Socialize Small Business

In case you missed it, Dear Leader is now calling on banks to bail out American small businesses. While looking out for small business is wise and noble, Obama sure has a funny way of doing so.

“It’s time for those banks to fulfill their responsibility to help ensure a wider recovery, a more secure system, and more broadly shared prosperity. And we’re going to take every appropriate step to encourage them to meet those responsibilities. Because if it’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that here in America, we rise and fall together. Our economy as a whole can’t move ahead if small businesses and the middle class continue to fall behind.”

We’re in the midst of a vicious circle: big government bails out big business, the actions of the government and its corporate cronies hurt small business, big government tells big business to help small business regardless of who is credit worthy, businesses fail due to government actions, government has to do more bailouts. We all know how this movie ends. Government will control every aspect of the economy – which means more Americans will lose jobs, and the economy will remain sluggish at best into the distant future.

Video of Dear Leader issuing his call to the banks is below the fold if you can stand it.
