Something to Watch When You Turn Off the TV Next Week

Via The Club for Growth, Reason TV interviewed Whole Foods CEO John Mackey. Mackey says such blasphemous things as “We need to empower individuals.” No wonder the rabid left is on the attack.

In all seriousness, Mackey makes the point that we haven’t sold capitalism very well, although it’s the only economic system that has brought prosperity to more people than anything else. He’s right. Another good point – Mackey notes that the political debate in America is more like picking teams than the serious business it should be. He’s right again. I’m as guilty as the next person. Or at least I was. The more I do this, the less I identify with the Republican Party. My hope is that we can take back the GOP so it will once again be the party for small government, individual rights, fiscal responsibility, and a truly small ‘r’ republican form of government. That’s a tall order, I know. But isn’t this the season of Hope?

Side note: Funny isn’t it, how the MSM and Hollywood – who have profited far more than average Americans thanks to capitalism – have trashed it every chance they get?
