Tuesday Evening Quick Hits

JP Friere questions the constitutionality of President Obama’s acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize. The Framers addressed this in the emoluments clause, due to concerns of foreign meddling. The president should have the consent of Congress before receiving such a prize.

Senator Joe Lieberman opposes the Baucus health bill. He believes it will increase the cost of health insurance for Americans. It’s about time he dump those democrats for good.

Obamanomics is killing the dollar. Just think what will happen to the dollar if cap and tax and health care legislation is passed. I can see it now, in a few years the media will start reporting how inflation can be fun.

Democrats are  contemplating another stimulus. This one is a more modest $20 billion. They don’t want to call it stimulus though, which doesn’t make sense after the way they’ve bragged about the success of Porkulus. They should come out and call it what it is – income redistribution.

The American public has pretty much had it with big government and big business. Since the two are  in bed together this comes as no surprise.

Liz Cheney launched a new PAC – Keep America Safe, focusing on foreign policy and defense issues. How long do you think it will take the White House to publicly attack Ms. Cheney?

Speaking of foreign policy, the Obama administrations dealings with Russia have been a complete failure. Which is why Hillary Clinton is smiling while her heart breaks.

Michael Steele and the GOP launched a new website, and Steele’s blog is titled “what up.” Some are asking “what up with that?”

The weak dollar was supposed to help our international companies. Well, Johnson and Johnson’s financial report today showed the weak dollar is hurting them. Oops.
The Peace prize has precedent on it’s side, having been awarded to two previous sitting Presidents.
The new GOP site is proof positive that these freaking idiots do not “get it” and really are not conservative Republicans. Make sure to go there and let them know what you think of the site. It’s a joke!

That’s why I didn’t link to the GOP site. Ridiculous. If you read the article linked about the Peace Prize, it’s noted that Teddy Roosevelt had reservations about receiving it and waited to officially receive the prize until after he was out of office.

These two items from the What We Believe tab make my blood boil! I know at first glance they seem right, but really think about them. I’d highlight the offending areas, but I don’t know how in this format. This is NOT what this country needs. I’m sick…..

The Republican Party is supportive of logical business regulations that encourage entrepeneurs to start more businesses so more individuals can enjoy the satisfaction and fruits of self-made success.
