News10Now reported today that absentee voters in the district will receive a second ballot this week. The local Board of Elections had to wait until John McHugh was confirmed as Secretary of the Army before his open seat could be included on the ballot. It might be tough for some service members to get those ballots postmarked by the November 2 deadline. As I write this News10Now is reporting on air that Scozzafava’s campaign said that the cops were called on John McCormack because he was “screaming in-your face questions.” That’s not the way McCormack tells it.
It turns out it was Scozzafava’s husband, Ron MacDougall - A LEADING LABOR OFFICIAL in NY – who called the police. If it’s not all odd enough, MacDougall previously spoke to democrat officials about supporting his wife if she switched parties. Can Newt Gingrich and the RNC request a do-over now?
Doug Hoffman called on Bill Owens to join him in demanding that President Obama defund ACORN and have the Justice Department appoint special election monitors to avoid the kind of voter fraud that occurred recently in Troy, NY.
I’ve done my small part in promoting Hoffman’s campaign locally. I work in Madison County which is part of NY23. I’ve convinced a few of my coworkers to vote for Hoffman, and to ask their families and friends to do the same. Some hadn’t even heard of him and may have voted for Scozzafava because of the R next to her name. So Hoffman still needs donations to help him get the word out.
Update: The Washington Post reports that the parties’ internal polling shows Hoffman is now in second place. Via Mayor Graham, who noticed a sizeable discrepancy in the number of employees Bill Owens claims to employ. 500? 2000? What’s the dif?
Fred Thompson’s wife, Jeri Thompson, appeared with Neil Cavuto to endorse the real republican in the race, Doug Hoffman.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again; when the dust clears on this one, it’ll be time for the folks to do some serious GOP leadership house cleaning. This entire debacle was utterly ridiculous and must not be tolerated again.

Having said that, Rinos aren’t any better.
Hoffman gets my vote…if I leved there that is (Heh heh)
