Michael Meyers is right, this is all buffoonery. Stephen A. Smith made a point about the NFL having to protect their image. He didn’t mention Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, who could become part owner of the Miami Dolphins. Are lyrics like this something the NFL wants to project? Shall parents across America forbid our sons from watching NFL football games because a self proclaimed slut is a part owner of one of their franchises? One could argue that President Obama is just as divisive as Rush Limbaugh, if not more so. President Obama has power over all of us that Rush doesn’t have. That didn’t stop the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers from heartily endorsing Obama. So, that’s okay? Oh, and don’t get me started about the NFL allowing a puppy killer to play in the league.
