Worth a Read

I’m writing this during the commercials on Game 1 of the World Series. (Go Phillies! Utley has the honor of hitting the first home run in the World Series!)

World Series or not, there’s still quite a bit going on.

Erick Erikson at Red State uncovered a nefarious little plot by Charlie Crist, Rich Heffley and the Florida GOP against Marco Rubio. It’s dirty and could be in violation of the law. Naturally, they’re trying to cover their tracks.

William Kristol says Nancy Pelosi is leading democrats off a cliff.

Byron York explains how democrats outmaneuvered republicans to add ACORN to the Oversight Board of the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency. We’re all going to have to be community organizers to protect us from the community organizers.

Donald Lambro takes a look at whether health care reforms proposed by the radicals democrats are constitutional. I come down on the side of “no.”

Allahpundit describes Dear Leader’s new Afghan strategy. It’s all hopey and changey and nuanced. And it’s insane.

Did the NRCC meddle in the NY23 race and help Dede Scozzafava get the nod from local republicans? It sure looks like a possibility. Dan Riehl has the story. I’m pretty familiar with the area, and I’ve found it odd that all 11 county leaders chose her over more conservative candidates. Especially when the Tea Party movement was in full swing.

Speaking of NY23, read about Doug Hoffman’s 2 week turnaround at The Other McCain. You also may want to consider throwing a few bucks RS’s way – he’s freelancing now – no expense account to pay his way to Northern NY to report on the final weekend of the race. He’s done a better job covering NY23 than any of the local news outlets. If you can’t contribute to his shoe leather fund, his reporting on the race is still worth a read. Please be sure to leave comments telling him I sent you his way.

I began this post after a Chase Utley home run. I end this post after a Chase Utley home run. Good thing I put on my lucky jersey! Sweet! :)

Arghh! Phillies are good, but it ain’t over yet! lol :) However, I’m going to bed before it’s over. This war is very tiring. Wish I had your energy!

I’m a night owl. Drag around all day then get my second wind at night. I almost wish I didn’t. Morning comes along so fast.

Cliff Lee is having quite a night so far. Yay!
