The president met with House democrats yesterday for a little pep talk during the health care debate. He just couldn’t resists taking a dig at millions of concerned Americans. Just a reminder of what the president really thinks of the American people.
The New York Times reported:
Mr. Obama, during his private pep talk to Democrats, recognized Mr. Owens election and then posed a question to the other lawmakers. According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”
Note to Obama: You’re the extremist.
Once again Obama has it screwed up. I happen to have a Bluedog Democrat for a Representative-no I didn’t vote for him, but he won fair & square so he is mine now. He promised us at the many town halls that he held this summer, that he would vote NO on any proposal that covered abortion, had public option, & several other things. Any 1 of them was a deal breaker for him. Rumor has it that the DNC threatened them with no help for re-election campaign. I told my Representative-Parker Griffith, that if he stuck to his word & never wavered (& he did not, he was early NO & stayed a NO through final vote) I would stick with him in next election. So, obama is wrong, I do intend to support Representative Griffith-he listened to what his constituients wanted & voted that way, he kept his word, that earned him respect.

NOT A BAD IDEA (victoria) since the democrats always come out with a bag of tricks up their sleve , why not make a deal with the ones that still want to vote against the public option,but are scared of pelosi reed and company, that us mobsters will support them in 20010 if they vote out the public option in the senate. JUST LIKE THE REP (GRIFFITH DID)
