While I can’t say I’m happy about the Democrats vote to destroy our freedom under the cloak of darkness on a Saturday night, tonight I am a happy blogger.
You readers are fantastic. Thanks so much to those of you who took the time to nominate and/or vote for this blog at the Weblog Awards. Thanks also to the reader who left a tip for me today! You folks make all the time and effort I put into this blog worthwhile.
This weekend I decided since there’s no end in sight to the assault on our freedom, my blogging probably won’t be slowing down anytime soon. So I invested in a portable little netbook. It’s only about 10″ wide and is as light as a feather. I blogged while watching football from a recliner, without all the bulk of a full sized laptop.
The battery on this little machine lasts about six hours. The size of the keys and the small screen will take some getting used to, as will the time it takes to open web pages, but all in all I couldn’t be happier. Plus, I can bring this thing with me when I go away. All I have to do is plug it into my cell phone and I’ll have internet access wherever there’s cell service.
So it looks like I’m in this for the long haul. Thanks to you readers and my cute little netbook I’ll be going to sleep a happy blogger tonight. No doubt the radicals will do something to tick me off in the morning, so I’ll enjoy the moment while it lasts!

I bought one of those netbooks last year. I love it. It’s so convenient. Keep up the good work.
