I know, it’s a small consolution. But it’s a tiny step in the right direction for NY’s GOP. They still have a long way to go.
Politico reports:
Dede Scozzafava, the GOP nominee who dropped out to endorse Democrat Bill Owens in New York’s special election, resigned from her spot in the state’s assembly leadership Monday.
After hearing complaints from his members about Scozzafava, Assembly Minority Leader Brain Kolb met with the former congressional candidate to discuss her post.
Following the meeting, Kolb announced that Scozzafava would no longer serve in Republican leadership.
“Today, I had a thorough and frank discussion with Assemblywoman Scozzafava,” Kolb said in a statement. “As a result, Dede has tendered, and I accepted, her resignation as our Conference’s Leader Pro Tempore. Over the coming weeks, I will be assessing who will serve as our Conference’s next Leader Pro Tempore to lead our Assembly floor debate.”
Why doesn’t she just flip and call herself a democrat already? Now that she’s been exposed there’s no reason to carry on the charade.

Why doesn’t she flip? Either she didn’t know herself well enough to find her principals and core or she entered the party as a Trojan horse, with an agenda. The left will stop at nothing short of utter defeat. The thoughts and feelings that drive a person to need and want to control others for what they think is “the greater good” is a pathological tyranny.
