This is getting old.
The Senate’s version of ObamaCare strips the Stupak abortion language. The bill has a provision requiring a monthly abortion fee. It uses the word tax 183 times and the word taxable 164 times. In fact, the new taxes amount to more than $370 billion. The Democrats most likely know what they’re doing is unpopular, so naturally they are voting to advance the bill on Saturday, when most Americans won’t be paying attention. Senator Leiberman will vote to advance the bill, but threatens a filibuster over the public option.
In short, the bill sucks.
