Hey Libs – Time to Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is!

A note to all liberals with a buck or two to spare: pay up! Especially you rich Hollywood liberals. You railed against President Bush – villified him and blasted how he cut taxes for the rich. You said you didn’t need a tax cut.

 Well, guess what, libs!?! Tax cuts are voluntary! You can pay as much in tax as you want. The actions of the Obama administration have so dimished tax receipts coming into our federal government, the AP decided it would be a good idea to remind you that you’re allowed to send the government extra payments to pay down the debt. Oh, lucky you!

Let me just say, if I earned several million bucks a week or a month, maybe I’d reconsider relinquishing my tax cut for the rich. But guess what? I’m not rich. I get up every morning and go to work. So does my husband. Today he worked from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM putting a second floor addition on somebody’s house. It was really cold  out, yet he didn’t complain. He was happy that his customer was happy with the progress of his work. He actually builds and creates things. Unlike you people, who only create illusions. You try climbing a sixteen foot ladder with a couple bundles of shingles before railing about tax cuts for America’s producers. He has to price jobs competitively – low enough to stave off competitors while high enough to pay his employee with all of the taxes and insurance payments that come along with that employee.

A home remodeling business has a much smaller profit margin than a Hollywood production. Do you propose to hurt people like my husband with your votes and political advocacy? Or will you put your money where your mouth is and pay your fair share of the tax increases you advocated and voted for? Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, cutting taxes for people like my husband would help to create another job? Oh, sorry, of course you didn’t.

But hey, don’t worry about us, now’s the time for you to put your money where your mouth is. Go ahead and pay your “fair share.” Why don’t you try “giving back” for a change?
