What did they know and when did they know it? Those are the questions Rep. Pete Hoekstra is asking the Obama administration, who have been less than forthcoming.
CNS News reports:
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), the ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said Monday that the Obama administration has been withholding “critical information” on the Fort Hood murders allegedly committed by Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan.
Hoekstra is demanding that the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Security Agency and the Director of National Intelligence preserve documents relating to the incident for use in possible future congressional investigation.
“President Obama said people should not jump to conclusions about what happened at Fort Hood, but the administration is in possession of critical information related to the attack that they are refusing to release to Congress or the American people,” Hoekstra said in a statement. “I intend to push for intense review of this and other issues related to the performance of the intelligence community and whether or not information necessary for military, state and local officials to provide for the security of the post was provided to them.” Continue reading
What is mind boggling is that anyone is asking the question “Was this terrorism”? Why ask that question? Because he’s Muslim? Nobody asked that question about Ted Kaczynski or Timothy McVeigh. You don’t have to have an Al Quada membership card to be an Islamic terrorist.
This discussion and plea to ‘wait for more information’ than we currently have only serves to show that the only man with any brains in D.C. is Joe Lieberman.
I am living in a parallel universe, obviously. Or maybe it’s just the liberal world-view: my liberal boss, on 9-11-01, said “maybe 3,000 people per decade is just what we have to accept”. In exchange for WHAT, exactly??
