Not to say that certain vote numbers were skewed on purpose – but the race between Hoffman and Owens will not be decided until the absentee ballots are cast and the lead for Owens has shrunk to only 3000 votes – without any absentee votes yet counted!!
From our very fair and balanced (choke) Syracuse Post Standard:
Now a recanvassing in the 11-county district shows that Owens’ lead has narrowed to 3,026 votes over Hoffman, 66,698 to 63,672, according to the latest unofficial results from the state Board of Elections.
In Oswego County, where Hoffman was reported to lead by only 500 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted election night, inspectors found Hoffman actually won by 1,748 votes — 12,748 to 11,000.
The new vote totals mean the race will be decided by absentee ballots, of which about 10,200 were distributed, said John Conklin, communications director for the state Board of Elections.
So…. we shall see.

Do NOT trust the DEMs.
They like to recount until they win.
Did here in WA a few years ago. Seems they ALWAYS “find” ballots that weren’t in the original count “overlooked” by the Elections Officials.

He’d have to win 70% of that remaining vote….possible, but unlikely.

Not necessarily. At the time the absentee ballots would have been mailed Dede was still in the race, so it would have been a three way race at the time, as opposed to a two way race with Dede throwing her weight behind Owens. I don’t know the exact math, but Owens led in the polls when it was a three way race.
