Another poll shows the American people aren’t that into the Democrats anymore. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Let’s hope enough Americans pull their collective heads out of the sand next year to put an end to this madness. If it isn’t too late. We all know the Democrats are determined to ram through their agenda no matter what most Americans want.
The latest is from an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll:
Less than a year after Inauguration Day, support for the Democratic Party continues to slump, amid a difficult economy and a wave of public discontent, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. The findings underscored how dramatically the political landscape has changed during the Obama administration’s first year. In January, despite the recession and financial crisis, voters expressed optimism about the future, the new president enjoyed soaring approval ratings, and congressional leaders promised to swiftly pass his ambitious agenda.
In December’s survey, for the first time, less than half of Americans approved of the job President Barack Obama was doing, marking a steeper first-year fall for this president than his recent predecessors.
Also for the first time this year, the electorate was split when asked which party it wanted to see in charge after the 2010 elections. For months, a clear plurality favored Democratic control.
The survey suggests that public discontent with Mr. Obama and his party is being driven by an unusually grim view of the country’s status and future prospects.
A majority of Americans believe the U.S. is in decline. And a plurality now say the U.S. will be surpassed by China in 20 years as the top power.
Democrats’ problems seem in part linked to their ambitious health-care plan, billed as the signature achievement of Mr. Obama’s first year. Now, for the first time, more people said they would prefer Congress did nothing on health care than who wanted to see the overhaul enacted.
“For Democrats, the red flags are flying at full mast,” said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted the survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “What we don’t know for certain is: Have we reached a bottoming-out point?”
I would say no, we haven’t reached a “bottoming-out point” because we have yet to feel the full negative consequences of these disastrous policies. And just think, immigration’s off the radar right now. Just wait until the American people hear about that.
Today’s democrats are like suicide bombers. They’re willing to sacrifice themselves for their “cause.” Or, do they know something we don’t know?

We’re going to see the Medicare cuts and tax increases immediately after enacted. Seniors are a huge Democrat voting bloc that will feel the impact on programs like the very popular Medicare Advantage. Why and for what reason the Democrat brain trust (and I use that term very loosely) would want to alienate them is the sixty four thousand dollar question.

They will not stop till we have health care and cap and trade and an Immigration bill in place.
they are full speed ahead…screw the american people and to hell with what the majority wants.
this is the progressives time to reshape America in their image and once these bills are in place they will be impossible to purge them.
Thats their goal and always has been.

You’ve got that right. These people are insane – but in the Ted Bundy sociopath sense. They know exactly what they’re doing. Pelosi knows she’s in a safe district. Even if she loses her speakership she’ll live off the taxpayer teat for the rest of her life. Even if she’s back in the minority, she and her comrades will do everything within their power to see to it that nothing they do now ever gets repealed. Evil. Pure evil. I truly believe that one hundred years from now that creepy Obama logo will have the same negative connotations as the hammer and sickle. Actually, it probably won’t take a century.

“Doomed” hit the center of the target with that dart. They know that their time is limited to this four (gag) years. I think they don’t even care too much about what happens in next year’s elections, or the question of whether Obama is actually a natural born citizen; even if he were impeached, whatever is in place will take a decade to reverse, if that’s even possible. They know what they’re doing, and they know time is limited, which is why everything is a “crisis”. I am appalled at the people who voted for this man out of sheer, blissful ignorance. They just didn’t care to do the homework, voting for him was easier. I didn’t like McCain either, but sometimes you really do have to vote for the LESSER evil. Hope they all reap what they’ve sown.

Waken up? Not one of you nor most people has woken up. You and they still cling to your illusionary ideology like a child clutching a warm blanket in a storm. You can’t even look yourselves in the mirror let alone claim to be awake. you are asleep and demand that everyone else got back to sleep. By the time you do actually start to wake up things will be so bad that you will go right back to denial and blame.
“Today’s democrats are like suicide bombers. They’re willing to sacrifice themselves for their “cause.” Or, do they know something ” No todays political pundits and supporter (you included) are like suicide bombers..dogmatic, blindfully idelogical and believe in a faith based (subjective) reality and will not only go to theirs deaths grasping to a worldview despite consequences but demand that others go down with them.
You were partially right…you just forgot to include yourself in the group you are demonizing. Project much?
