This is just too funny. While the communist global warming alarmists try to come up with a “solution” to global warming, God dumped a blizzard in Copenhagen.
Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) — World leaders flying into Copenhagen today to discuss a solution to global warming will first face freezing weather as a blizzard dumped 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow on the Danish capital overnight.
“Temperatures will stay low at least the next three days,” Henning Gisseloe, an official at Denmark’s Meteorological Institute, said today by telephone, forecasting more snow in coming days. “There’s a good chance of a white Christmas.”
Delegates from 193 countries have been in Copenhagen since Dec. 7 to discuss how to fund global greenhouse gas emission cuts. U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive before the summit is scheduled to end tomorrow.
Denmark has a maritime climate and milder winters than its Scandinavian neighbors. It hasn’t had a white Christmas for 14 years, under the DMI’s definition, and only had seven last century. Temperatures today fell as low as minus 4 Celsius (25 Fahrenheit).
You know Copenhagen must not get much cold weather if they’re calling 4″ a blizzard. Undeterred by the cold, Hilary Clinton promised to contribute to what is hoped to be a $100 billion yearly fund to help poor countries deal with global warming.
While she would not disclose how much the U.S. would be contribution to the climate fund, Clinton said there would be a fair amount contributed to the pot that would be made available in 2020. The finances will reportedly be raised partially by taxing aviation and shipping, as proposed by the European Union.
The latest Rasmussen poll found that most Americans believe any climate change is due to long-term planetary trends and not carbon. I’m sure they’re happy to hear about Hilary’s giveaway to corrupt world leaders everywhere.
I’m pretty sure that the theory of human-caused global warming is able to account for the fact that it sometimes snows. If not, I suspect that less than 97% of climatologists would endorse it.
