Kill the Senate Bill! Says Howard Dean?

The nut-roots aren’t happy with Joe Lieberman. Thanks to him the fastest route to single payer is getting the axe by Senate Democrats. I don’t know what they’re so upset about. The current bill is still bad enough to kill off private insurance sooner or later. But that’s not good enough for the likes of Howard Dean.

Greg Sargent reports that today Howard Dean will call upon the Senate to kill the Reid bill now that it no longer includes a public option or Medicare buy-in.

Dean follows lefty Internet guru Kos, who wrote on his Twitter feed last night: “Insurance companies win. Time to kill this monstrosity coming out of the Senate.”

I’d be on board with Dean’s suggestion to kill the bill, but his alternative is for Senate dems to use the nuclear option to ram it through with 51 votes.
