Maurice Clemmons is Dead – Shot By Police Officer
ByMaurice Clemmons won’t kill anybody else.
Fox News reported:
Maurice Clemmons was shot to death after a “very alert patrol officer” tracked down a stolen vehicle linked to him, Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the Pierce County sheriff, told Fox News.
Clemmons, 37, is suspected of murdering the four Lakewood police officers at a cafe Sunday morning in Parkland, a Tacoma suburb about 35 miles south of Seattle.
He was killed in a working-class neighborhood after police found him using information about possible hiding spots supplied by Pierce County investigators, Troyer said.
“Shots were fired,” Troyer told “Fox & Friends” Tuesday. “We’re very happy that the Seattle police officer is OK. … This could have turned out a lot worse.”
Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39, and Officers Ronald Owens, 37, Tina Griswold, 40, and Greg Richards, 42, were the victims of Sunday’s shooting spree.
Troyer told Fox police arrested three people overnight on suspicion of rendering criminal assistance. …

Sadly, this mad man has changed the lives of family and friends of the four he murdered forever. Yes, it’s fortunate that he won’t do any more harm; but when is the next nut cake out there on parole or bond that could have been legally detained, going to detonate on the public?
OBTW, how many of us really pay attention to local judicial races in the voting cycles? I can tell you that in the past few years, after too many of these similar stories, I want to know as much as I can about the candidates, sometimes it’s difficult. It’s unfortunate that in many of these races, the incumbent runs unopposed, so not much choice, even if they have an abominable record as a jurist. I’m at the point where just plain common sense and good judgment and not legal prowess is the most important factor in seating judges. They must stop turning loose monsters on the unsuspecting public that they are sworn to protect. Too little accountability has mistakenly placed these people on pedistals that the law abiding public looks up to in fear. They are part of government, they should work for us, and if they aren’t doing their job as the people are satisfied and feel safe with, even between election cycles, some real consequences should exist. Unfortunately they don’t. A good start would be term limits for all elected seats, short term limits.
Good riddance to this evil animal- sounds like he should have been in a cage bed and heavily sedated, rather than running around Seattle with a gun, eh?
And Huck’s a schmuck- with this Dukakis moment, he’s done for 2012
Mitt is in a political hole with conservatives for his failed Massachessets HC plan that’s hardly any better than Obama’s… and a pitiful response to NY-23’s special election drama (if there was ANY response, I sure don’t recall it).
Meanwhile, the Arctic Fox’s book is #1 while crowds swell at her signings… and a poll now shows her vs Obama’s approval numbers closed within the margin of error… I think we all can see where this is headed
Well, at least 12 fewer people have to deal with jury duty.
Huckabee should have focused on the crimes committed and what it takes to do that to another human being—not how it made him feeeeeel. I am not, obviously, a COMPASSIONATE conservative. Hang ‘em high.
