Orwellian: Health Care Cloture Vote Scheduled for 1:00 AM – Updated and Bumped

This is so Orwellian. These tyrants voting away our rights in the middle of the night. I won’t be staying up, regardless of what they’re doing in DC some of us still have to get up and go to work in the morning. This is just terrible, what these democrats are doing. Some time shortly after 1:00 AM the democrats will vote to end debate on health care, keeping them on track to vote to take over 1/6 of the American economy on Christmas Eve. Tonight is but a pit stop on the march to socialism.

For those of you who believe it won’t be as bad as you thought because they took out the public option, keep in mind that the Democrats view this bill as a “starter home.” It’s the foundation upon which to build a single-payer system and they know it.

If you care to watch what they’re up to, C-Span’s streaming it live. At the time of this writing, Dick Durbin is standing there lying about how this wretched legislation is going to help small businesses. He just spit out the words “deductibles” and “co-payments” as if contributing to the cost of one’s own care is the absolute worst thing to ask of an individual. Have no doubt, the price tag of this treacherous legislation will be far higher than any deductible or copayment you may pay today.

We can’t stop them from passing their radical, unpopular, rationed health care legislation but we can promise them this:

We promise to actively and openly campaign against every democrat who votes for this bill no matter if you are a red state democrat or a blue state democrat.

We promise to forever kill the myth that there is such a creature as a bluedog democrat.

We promise to donate to campaigns to defeat the democrats who vote for this radical expansion of the federal government.

We promise to make it known how you bought your votes with our taxpayer money to pass this bill.

We promise that we will never forget how your party leaders and your state-run media called Americans who opposed this lousy nationalized health care bill – mobsters, radicals, Nazis and teabaggers.

We promise to  never forget that you voted to force taxpayers to fund abortion by voting for this bill and that your bill requires a monthly abortion fee.

We promise to never forget that your plan allows for government coverage of illegal aliens.

We promise to attend your town hall meetings and confront you about your vote to takeover one-sixth of the nation’s economy. Not even your SEIU and ACORN thugs will keep us away.

We promise to let Americans and seniors know that democrats just cut $470 billion from their Medicare.

We promise to let Americans know that you voted to ration their health care.

We promise to NEVER FORGET that you voted against the wishes of the people you represent. ….

I join GWP in promising to never, ever forget what they’re doing. New Yorkers shouldn’t forget that by voting for this bill, our Senators and representatives in the House are voting to increase our property taxes. As if we aren’t paying enough already. I also promise to volunteer my time and contribute my hard earned money to unseat my congressman, Dan Maffei. The Democrats have betrayed the American people, and we surely will not forget.

The Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics reviewed Harry Reid’s manager’s amendment, and this bill is possibly worse than you thought. Your care WILL be rationed, and they could even restrict your right to spend your own money on health care. And the worst part:

Each year, the Secretary of Health and Human Services must implement the Board’s directives unless Congress, within a given deadline, legislates an alternative set of restrictions to accomplish the same result. However, Congress could not reduce the net of the targeted cuts unless three-fifths of both chambers voted to do so. The bill goes so far as to forbid a future Congress from repealing these provisions, except for a one-time opportunity in 2017!

Michelle Malkin is liveblogging the Senate Democrats Sneaky Sunday health care vote. Note: in addition to the Nebraska payoff, Massachussets and Vermont have similar deals that when combined, will cost taxpayers $1.2 billion over 10 years. I’m starting to repeat myself, but these people should be in prison.
