Random Post-Holiday Ramblings

The rugs have been cleaned, the fourth load of laundry is in the dryer and the dishwasher’s running. Which means I have a few minutes to spare for blogging. Not that there’s anyone reading political blogs this weekend. RS McCain used Seasonal Traffic Suckage Syndrome to shamelessly rattle his tip jar. If Santa was good to you and you feel like spreading the wealth around, you can find mine somewhere over there. —>

I thought trolls were a phenomenon unique to the blogosphere. How silly of me. One troll in particular’s been calling C-Span posing as a conservative racist.  Don’t they have call screeners at C-Span?

If ever there was reason to profile airline passengers, the fact that the lunatic who tried to blow up Northwest 253 was wearing “suicide underwear“ ought to serve as a wake up call to the politically correct bureaucrats making up the rules. But no, the Obama administration didn’t suddenly decide to profile passengers. Instead, they decided that heroic passengers should be required to remain seated in the final hour of their flights. Maggie has the scoop on one of those heroic passengers. If you haven’t had the news on today, check out memeorandum - Northwest 253 has been the top story all day.

I don’t know about this new Obama world in which we live. Apparently, the rest of the world isn’t too keen on Dear Leader, either, considering he had to crash the Copenhagen partyAnd now his car company is putting out creepy videos. But at least he’s consistent when it comes to lying. Even Russ Feingold noticed his earmark whopper. Competence is another issue all together. He just spent 2 million bucks to caulk seven (yes – 7 with no zeroes) homes.

9/11 Truther Charlie Sheen was arrested Christmas day for assault and menacing. Nice fella, that one. But by all means, Americans, continue supporting the SOB by watching his show.

Reliapundit posted the two biggest chuckles of the day. A wind farm was killed by huge gusts of wind! And the most liberal states are getting screwed the worst under ObamaCare. Okay, so that second one isn’t so funny if, like myself, you happen to live in one of those liberal states. I can’t wait to see the increase in my property taxes. And that 8% sales tax will soon sound like a bargain. Who knew New Yorkers would some day look back on 2009 as “the good old days?”

On that note, I’m off to dream of using the Loft gift card that’s burning a whole in my Christmas stocking. With all the global warming, I’m desperately in need of some warm sweaters.

LC, I’m late with my Christmas greetings, but I see that you had a wonderful Eve and Day. Aren’t we so truly blessed to have family and people to love us.

Merry, merry Christmas to you. Here we go into a new year.

Just as a point of information…at AMS (departure point for the NW flight) all US bound flights have a group of profiling screeners who “interview” passengers before they go through the WTMD/X-ray process. Perhaps the profile needs some work.

As for the TSA response – typical knee-jerk reaction. The “last hour” restriction merely moves the timetable up while inconveniencing all the passengers throughout the air traffic system. But, remember, it’s your government in action.

While this maniac was trying to blow up that plane, a friend of mine, a harmless little 70-year old woman was having most of her cosmetics, hair treatments, etc confiscated at the Orlando airport. Next time she should wear a burka and strap an AK-47 to her back. She’ll sail right through.

Three fun days of family; kids, grandkids, dogs, have now gone home; another terrorist attack on the United States while Obama vacations. Things are back to normal I guess.

Merry Christmas to you, too Maggie. MI-glad you had a good Christmas. Hope the rest of you did, too.

Yes, things are back to normal. The left and Napolitano are downplaying this incident. They say it isn’t part of a greater plot with al qaeda. No? Couldn’t you say all attacks by Islamists are part of a greater plot? Heaven forbid we call it what it is.

Oh, and Zorro – I hope your friend didn’t have to use the rest room during the last hour of her flight.

    Thanks for the input, Donald.

    Zorro,

That is the TYPICAL response from a PC system that IMO panders to the muzzies.

They do more screening to show that they care but they mearly screen more of the wrong type of people.

Profiling? Used to be the foundation of Police work…now it’s a bad word.

    Are all Muslims terrorists? No

Have the vast majority of the terrorists been Muslin? Yes

YOU can figure it out…the Feds CAN’T.
