I'm pretty fed up with what is being pumped out of public schools. Not enough students are graduating and those that do are going to be relegated to pay in taxes for the Nair-do-wells that didn't. Too many students are not even close to being ready to either enter the work force with skills or pass a college entrance exam. The schools are pumping out inferior products that don’t do justice for our money or country. This is the genesis of collapse and tyranny and it must cease if America is to prevail. I don't know about where you live (Michigan?) but here in New York our property taxes are outrageously high. Partially to fund Medicaid and partially to fund the schools. I'd prefer to do away with public schools and slash property taxes. The savings over a lifetime would be more than enough to pay for private schools for our children. They put so many of us in a bind. We can't afford to pay the high property taxes and pay private tuition. And we pay those high property taxes for as long as we own property. Long after the kids are out of school. So you're absolutely right. Every taxpayer should demand accountability from the schools we fund, even if we don't have children in those schools at the time. Any taxpayer in a school district should attend their school board meetings. We DO pay taxes to the schools don't we? Just because some of us don't have kids in school doesn't mean we can't have an input. Find out what’s going on as far as curriculum. If you find school curriculum including Marxist teachings, spread the word to the district in any fashion you can and demand resignations and accountability from those responsible. We have to live amongst their product now don't we? Presidents like Mr. Obama don’t just spring up; they’re built and mentored over a long period of time, so if some serious changes aren’t made in the world of academia, expect more of what we have on a regular basis.
