Imagine how many people would have shown up in DC to rally against government takeover of health care if it wasn’t the week before Christmas. Not that the Democrats care.

I know Thomas Jefferson would be there with those who are taking a stand against an ever-expanding Federal government. Where does this end? Banking, auto manufacturing, and now health care.
I’m reminded of what Leon Trotsky once wrote shortly after the successful Bolshevik revolution: “In a country where the sole employer is the State, opposition means death by slow starvation. The old principle: who does not work does not eat, has been replaced by a new one: who does not obey shall not eat.”
It’s easy to imagine what happens in a country where the government controls access to health care.
