In a way he’s right. After decades of progressives controlling the schools a massive disaster is probably the only thing that could save them. Too bad it’s progressives doing the rebuilding.
ABC News’ Mary Bruce Reports: Education Secretary Arne Duncan said today that Hurricane Katrina was “the best thing that happened to the education system in New Orleans” because it gave the city a chance to rebuild and improve its failing public schools.
Heh! Da Techguy chimes in: “…. and Sherman did wonders for development in Atlanta.”
Maybe The Other McCain has the right idea – scrap all government programs and start over. Could we do that without a major natural disaster?
