I keep saying they’ll stop at nothing. Polls say Americans don’t want their stinking health care bill. They don’t care. They lost governors races in New Jersey and Virginia. They don’t care. A Republican has the best chance of being a Senator from Massachusetts in decades thanks to their stinking plan. They don’t care. They’ll ram it through no matter what.
Bloomberg: Even if Democrats lose the special election to pick a new Massachusetts senator Tuesday, Congress may still pass health-care overhaul through a process called reconciliation, a top House Democrat said.
That procedure requires 51 votes rather than the 60 needed to prevent Republicans from blocking votes on President Barack Obama’s top legislative priorities. That supermajority is at risk as the Massachusetts race has tightened.
“Even before Massachusetts and that race was on the radar screen, we prepared for the process of using reconciliation,” Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said.
“Getting health-care reform passed is important,” Van Hollen said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing this weekend. “Reconciliation is an option.”
Should Democrats take that route, the legislation would have to be scaled back because of Senate rules. …
But here’s a thought – there’s been talk that if Brown wins, they’ll try to hold the vote before he’s seated. So, if they’re now talking about the nuclear option, doesn’t that signal that they don’t have the votes to pass this right away? And we still don’t know how Stupak’s coalition in the House is going to feel about the abortion language in the Senate bill.
Speaking of the abortion issue – read about Nancy Pelosi’s Archbishop’s response to her idiotic comments on abortion and Catholicism in Newsweek at Red, White and Blue in the Face.

This has always been their default plan. They will “Rham” it through no matter what and give 9 of them political cover. Revolting.

Reconciliation is NOT an option.
That procedure only applies to Budgets NOT new legislation.
**Not that they intend to follow the rules.**
Looks like they won’t stop until the villagers show up with pitchforks and torches.
