Barclay represents me in the NY Assembly. He is conservative–he represents my views pretty well. He is a much better choice than that donkey in a rhino outfit they chose last time. He is electable and I would support him. I was actually hoping that he would run against Dan Buffon. Oh well.

Obviously, a primary is needed.
Having said that, as much as I like Doug Hoffman, I also like Will Barclay. Both are excellent candidates.

After the NY-23 debacle, my thinking would be not to worry so much to check the candidate’s record but the local party heads background and record. We know what they did last time and dug their heels in on it. Conservatives don’t need “Scozzaphonies” in office. People at the managerial, decision making level need to be vetted with the eye of scrutiny.
