We keep talking about how the Democrats and Barack Obama will turn us into another European socialist state. That’s what they want to do, we all know that. What they don’t seem to understand is that the economic freedom we’ve enjoyed in the US has made us the engine of the world economy.Without us, most of the socialist economies in the world would collapse.
Without the (limited) economic freedom that’s allowed us to generate so much wealth, could we ever have managed to meet the crushing obligations of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all the other social welfare programs? If we add more to those programs will we crush the already fragile system?
Without a United States that’s economically free how well will the rest of the world fare? Who will the rest of the world feed off once they’ve kill the host?
More importantly, who will we feed off? China?

I saw the partial interview of Sheik Alwaleed Bin Talal with Neil Cavuto today on FNC. He really threads the needle in parsing the ability of American productivity against the obligations and projected guilt on a super power. Personally, I think he should stuff it. He’s only out for his own self interests, his people and himself as beneficiaries of our work. America could easily break the backs of many of these despotic, authoritarian regimes (Venezuela and Saudi Arabia) by producing our own export of energy on the world market to dramatically drive down the price of a barrel of oil without firing a shot. They would then wither on the vine into their own citizenry review.

I had that on, too. I didn’t get to listen to the whole thing because of the chaos in our house that time of day, but I came out with the same sentiment.

There is a big difference between the people of the U.S. and the people of Latin American countries and the people of Europe and the people of Asia, et. al. The people of the U.S. have ALWAYS been free, ALWAYS lived in a democratic Republic. The people of all other countries in the world have lived, at one time or another, under a monarchy or a dictator or a Tsar or another totalitarian type of regime. In addition, some of the people of other countries had lived in fiefdoms made up of lords and serfs. Americans have ALWAYS been free. That is the very reason that it is so difficult for the international elites who want a global government to put a cap sheaf on their desire for such. Americans insist on national sovereignty. It is extremely gratifying to each of us, I’m sure, to see so many Americans exercise our right of free speech and our voting rights to keep OUR country free.

EXCELLENT POINT!
If you want to see where all this is going, watch EuroNews. It is 24-hour news from the EU, available on most cable/satellite providers.
Here is a taste of some of their recent stories. Our economic and military power has let these countries become soft. This stuff is mind boggling:
