We only know so much, since Obama has been meeting with Democrats and union bosses behind closed doors. “Nothing to see here! Run along now!”
But there is something to see, quite a few things, in fact.
The health care bills include coverage for such goodies as hair plugs (Biden’s idea?), Botox (Pelosi?), and aromatherapy (Rahm Emanuel?), and sex-change operations (Barney Frank?).
A provision in Harry Reid’s manager’s amendment includes unlimited funding for abortions at community health centers. The abortions won’t be banned under any of the existing limitations on abortion funding.
Let’s not forget the marriage penalties. Heaven forbid Americans have normally family lives and be less dependent on government.
Rep. Mike Pence vows that House Republicans haven’t given up the fight:
House Republicans will fight for the public’s right to know until the very end. This isn’t about policy or politics. This is about preserving freedom and limited government. This health care bill violates the essence of the American system: democracy, transparency and accountability to the people. President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and a majority of Democrats, have turned a deaf ear to the people.
They are about to find out this fight ain’t over yet.
