There hasn’t been much news today, but there sure has been a lot of spin and speculation. Good grief! It’s hard to keep up.
The most recent spin came out of the White House – President Obama recognizes the anger of the American people and told Congress not to jam the bill through before Scott Brown is seated. His mouthpieces admit they lost touch with the American people. If they really recognized how angry the American people are why would they announce Obama’s sticking to his agenda? This announcement is just an admission that there’s very little chance the Senate bill can pass now.
Heads on the left are just exploding, and they’re barely coherent, so we’ll move to the right. There’s already a lot of speculation about what kind of Republican Scott Brown will be. We’ll find out soon enough, won’t we? Will he be another typical Northeast Republican? Will he even have a chance at re-election in 2012? Should he go big and bold and stand up for Republican values? Is he some kind of weirdo? We really don’t know, do we? We won’t know what kind of Republican senator he’ll be until he’s in the Senate. Right now it’s all speculation.
At least we know a loud message was sent to the corruptocrats in Washington, DC. That is a good thing. And if the Democrats can lose a senate seat in Massachusetts, they can lose senate seats in any state. Now they know it.
My advice to Senator-elect Brown – and all the other members of Congress for that matter – would be to keep a copy of the Constitution handy, and refer to it often. If they’d only do that one simple thing, just think of the problems which would have been avoided.
Update:
Left Coast Rebel linked – check out his analysis of Obama’s lame excuse to George Stephanopoulos. If you read or saw the whole interview you’ll also know that Obama found a way to blame Coakley’s loss on Bush.

Thanks for the link. Me too, except I’m tired. No late blogging tonight. Gotta catch up my beauty sleep or I could end up looking like Pelosi.

[...] this morning on the Today Show. After seeing this I think my initial reaction was correct. So no, I don’t think he’s a weirdo. [...]
