We all knew this would happen, but it still doesn’t make it right.
American Spectator: In their latest effort to pass a health care bill by any means necessary, Democrats have struck a “tentative deal” with their big labor allies to exempt union benefits from a tax on high value health care plans, CongressDaily reports.
[...]
If this policy is adopted, it would mean that there could be two Americans receiving the exact same benefits, but one American may be taxed and one wouldn’t, and the only difference would be one of them being a member of a union. This is unseemly and unfair, even by the standards of Obamacare. It has nothing to do with policy-making. It’s simply an outright bribe to a constituency that has contributed handily to Democratic campaigns.
These people couldn’t be more corrupt if they tried.
Welcome to the new America. Where certain politically connected individuals receive special consideration at the expense of their fellow citizens. In case you’re unaware, this is the way things work in totalitarian states.

Not surprising. This is all about paybacks to the unions for their support, past and especially future. Two Americas, one for the politically connected and privileged; the other is for capitalists, producing wealth through their liberty and hard work productivity. Never the less, turning all of us in to drones, whether you like it or not, we are experiencing Chicago Marxist politics on a national scale.

The only thing that surprises me about this was that it took this long for the damned idiot Dems to come up with an exemption for the unions. Last year, with all the sound and fury around the healthcare debate, somebody mentioned the possibility of the Employee Free Choice Act/Card Check being passed as part of 0bamacare instead of stand-alone legislation. Kinda made sense if you were a dem hellbent on passing the ‘healthcare reform’ no matter what the cost- a built in exemption to this ginormous turd passed on Christmas eve that would create the conditons for an artificial demand for union membership (union healthcare benefits would be tax-exempt, non union ones wouldnt).
But instead, these dumbasses got greedy and basically flipped the middle finger to the unions that backed them….and the fact that they were even considering it was a huge slap in the face to the labor honchos and rank-and-file alike.

The other must-read during this administration would be Ayn Rand’s “We The Living”.
No union card, Comrade? Sorry, no bread for you today……
At least as scary as Atlas Shrugged, We The Living is about the aftermath. Better pray while it’s still legal.

The unions are the cause of our decline.
The Equal Protection Clause should render this bill unconstitutional.
Ot the fact that a citizen is forced to purchase a policy.
Or the fact that Healthcare is NOT an enumerated right.
