This morning I was somewhat amused reading about all the great things New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (Dim) plans to do for Syracuse and the economy. These statists just don’t get it. They think they can spend our money like there’s no tomorrow and somehow jobs will be created. If that’s the case, why aren’t we at full employment after their spending spree last year? She said she supports tax cuts for small businesses. I’m not sure how a temporary tax cut is going to provide any long term jobs, and apparently the reporter didn’t ask a follow up question. I laughed to myself, imagining being able to ask her some follow up questions when my amusement turned to anger.
Gillibrand succeeded in leading Senate opposition to a section in the House health care reform bill that would have prohibited women from receiving abortion services when federal money is involved.
“I think denying a woman’s right to have access to a full range of reproductive services is unconstitutional and fundamentally unfair,” she said. “We shouldn’t be balancing health care reform on the backs of women.”
I’d like to see Gillibrand point to a provision in the constitution granting a woman the right to an abortion funded by her fellow citizens. If anything, we have a constitutional right to not have to fund anyone else’s choices. But that concept is lost on the progressive statists running the show today.
Gillibrand is so bad, if no serious Republican opponent steps up soon I’m considering donating to the campaign of Harold Ford, Jr. just to get rid of the woman. Protecting women’s rights my rear end. I’m a woman and she certainly isn’t looking out for my rights!

No she sure isn’t looking out for you; but you sure better watch your rear end around her!!!
