Two things at play there: the propagandist understanding that if you repeat a thing over and over and over and over eventually people buy into the idea and believe it; and hypnosis technique of positive repetition. A psychologist wrote a huge paper posted to the web somewhere about Obama’s hypnosis techniques while he’s speaking–what he says, how he says it, body language, and repetition. It was fascinating and explained how otherwise intelligent people (who are most susceptible to hypnosis) buy into Obama despite their own logic. It was fascinating.
Also fascinating is the Left’s delusion that the American people are too stupid to understand what they are trying to do. We know what Massachusetts was about. If the Left wants to believe it was about something else entirely, LET THEM. It’s better for the opposition if Team Obama remains clueless in the dark.
