The face of arrogance, more than anybody else, should be glad to bid farewell to 2009. In Obama’s first year as president, more Americans have lost their jobs than in any other year in modern history. Even worse, the number of troop deaths in Afghanistan nearly doubled under his watch. Maybe it has something to do with this. This is not change we can believe in.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like 2010 will be much better, at least as far as the economy is concerned. It could get much worse. And the more they spend in Washington, the worse things are going to get.
The War on Terror is now starting to look like a never-ending episode of Law and Order. Obama’s “terrorism czar” actually said the DOJ would consider cutting a deal for the undie bomber in exchange for information. Another unbelievable moment in the age of the unbelievable.
Some nitwits on facebook – about 12,000 of them – thought it would be a good idea to promote hatred of the military. Never in my life will I understand such people.
On a lighter note, Jumping in Pools interviewed the fabulously fabulous Smitty from The Other McCain who has some decent advice for bloggers.
And John Kerry isn’t allowed to go to Iran. He may keep his senate seat, but his dream of becoming historically relevant seems to be slipping away.
I found the video below at Free Republic. It’s well done, although I can’t say I voted for “change” last year, I’m in complete agreement with the sentiment.
The Other McCain linked – Thanks!
