Our children are $2 billion deeper in debt so we could create thousands of jobs overseas. This kind of thing makes my head want to explode.
ABC News: Nearly $2 billion in money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has been spent on wind power, funding the creation of enough new wind farms to power 2.4 million homes over the past year. But the study found that nearly 80 percent of that money has gone to foreign manufacturers of wind turbines.
So Where Are the Jobs? [good question]
“Most of the jobs are going overseas,” said Russ Choma at the Investigative Reporting Workshop. He analyzed which foreign firms had accepted the most stimulus money. “According to our estimates, about 6,000 jobs have been created overseas, and maybe a couple hundred have been created in the U.S.”
Not only did we create a bunch of jobs overseas by financing the future of our children, the windmills are unreliable. Sometimes it’s too cold for them to work. And sometimes they just fall down.
And when the wind doesn’t blow, they don’t produce power, meaning that coal-fired, gas-fired, or nuclear plants have to operating on stand-by, with coal- and gas-fired plants producing the “deadly” gas CO2.
We just persuaded the county Supervisors to approve a ridgeline ordinance that prohibits wind farms on our mountain because the project held little benefit locally except for the few landowners who owned property on the mountain.

Do you actually think all this spending is really for the benefit of our country?
It is ONLY if you believe tranformation into socialist euro style county is what’s best.
I, for one, am NOT buying. We need to vote out ALL politicians in BOTH parties that are big gov’t, big spending pork dealers.
