Al Gore Rears His Ugly Head

By

I wish he’d stay in hiding. But he has a lot riding on perpetuating this fraud, so he had to come out of his igloo sooner or later.

Al Gore Op-ed in the New York Times: It would be an enormous relief if the recent attacks on the science of global warming actually indicated that we do not face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it.

Of course, we would still need to deal with the national security risks of our growing dependence on a global oil market dominated by dwindling reserves in the most unstable region of the world, and the economic risks of sending hundreds of billions of dollars a year overseas in return for that oil. And we would still trail China in the race to develop smart grids, fast trains, solar power, wind, geothermal and other renewable sources of energy — the most important sources of new jobs in the 21st century.

But what a burden would be lifted! We would no longer have to worry that our grandchildren would one day look back on us as a criminal generation that had selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands. We could instead celebrate the naysayers who had doggedly persisted in proving that every major National Academy of Sciences report on climate change had simply made a huge mistake.

He doesn’t stop there. He goes on, and on, and on, and on. Never mind the bogus glacier data. Never mind the junk science. Never mind the weather. Never mind that there’s been no warming in the past 15 years, or that the hockey stick graph is bunk. No, we’re supposed to trust the snake oil salesmen because they tell us there’s a consensus.

Please, give me a break.

I did some calculations based upon the amount of total CO2 entering the air each year. Mankind puts about 26 gigatones of CO2 anually into the air in the form of burning fossil fuels.

The total amount of co2 entering the air each year is on the order of about 806 gigatones. Hence .0365 percent of the co2 entering the air is man made co2 from fossil fuels.

They are asking us to cut back by 25 percent….oh perhaps 40 percent.

Lets say we cut back 40 percent…..that reduces the amount of co2 entering the air to .0219 percent still entering the atmosphere.

So the question in my mind is this.

If we reduce our carbon emmissions by 1 percent by reducing our buring of fossil fuels how many people really think that will make one bit of difference in the rising co2 levels?

I would surmise that given the fact that the PPM of co2 has risen from 280 ppm to 387 ppm in 150 years means its rising at roughly 1 ppm per year.

So if we reduce our footprint by 1 percent we will essentially stop the rise of co2 by about…are you ready?

ONE PPM over the course of the next 100 years.

The facts are simple and AL GORE makes that very clear in his OP ED..its about the agenda..not the reality.

The agenda is politics…….redistribution of wealth. The reality is that we can do very, very little to alter the amount of co2 entering the air and FOR YOUR INFORMATION the AGW crowd does not want us to stop buring Fossil Fuels……they just want to tax the crap outta it and then redistribute that wealth elsewhere.

Why do you think…..seriously they have been opposed to Nuclear? Because they know that Nuclear is a solution….they are pressing for solutions that have not even been invented yet……WHY?>>>because they want us to KEEP burning fossil fuels but with the caveat of paying huge fines/taxes for doing so to fund their political redistribution of worldwide wealth.

  3. Great post, I like your montage with all of the facts. I just about threw up having to read this whole thing to post on it..Linked at LCR!

I’ll bet that the igloo in Washington DC was a little “too” comfortable for his displeasure. So the snake came out to try “charming” us with his continuing lies and raging fits of denial about the truth of natural climate changes that have been occuring for eons of earths history. Long BEFORE mankind even existed. (at least according to the silly Darwin fellas’) He IS a terrorist… of the worst sort, one who desires to kill people with deliberate denial of technology, healthy food, and good medicinal care when we need it. Do you think he’ll ever confess his worship of the Malthusian theory of over population and plead guilty to charges of “conspiracy to commit murder?”

Sheesh, what did we expect? He has to come out swinging to defend his business model. He can’t admit to any mistake on his part or the whole thing collapses and then what? Maybe door to door Fuller Brush or AVON? Seriously though, I think that he’d have a great career pushing Amway.
It was interesting that as a reader you didn’t have to log onto the NYT web site to read the opinion, which you normally do, until a few days after the post. Hmmmm.

  7. Has Al Gore or noted climatologist Danny Glover blamed the Chile earthquake on Global Warming…..er….climate change yet?
