Big Spending, Fiscally Reckless President Slams Las Vegas Again, Sen. Ensign Demands Apology – Updated With Video
ByObama’s gambling away our children’s future on his Keynesian economic schemes, yet still has the nerve to bash Las Vegas. Again!
Senator Ensign is demanding an apology.
The Hill: Ensign took to Twitter to ask for an apology for the remarks, the latest the president has made in several negative references to the city.
Obama slams Las Vegas again. I am calling on the President to apologize for his remark.
Las Vegas is suffering through one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and we cannot afford
for the President to bring us down any further.
Obama said that people should tighten their belts in hard economic times, saying that people in similar circumstances wouldn’t be so reckless as to gamble away their college savings.
When times are tough, you tighten your belts,” he said during a town hall in New Hampshire.” You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.”
There he goes again – more projecting.

You should live in Las Vegas, watch your job disappear in hours after this bozo makes these flippant, thoughtless remarks. Thoughtless, reallllly? Why is he targeting my city so relentlessly when it costs less to vacation here than it does to vacation in San Francisco??? The fact is that people panic and instantly cancel conventions, conferences, and reward trips for employees when he does this. In days, people who have struggled desperately waiting for business to pick up and who thought maybe now the tide had turned are back on unemployment. It happens JUST. THAT. FAST. Mayor Goodman is right that this president is a slow learner and is not welcome in this city. And Goodman is a Democrat! To have him show up here, hug Clean Face Harry, and blather on trying to be cool while he’s in “Vegas” [note: we don’t like that. We are Las Vegas, using that “cool” dialect—that’s NAUSEATING. He needs to leave and not come back here. He’s demonstrated more than once that he really does not care what happens to people here in the foreclosure capital of the nation.
