Bill Clinton Doing Well After Stent Placement

Former President Bill Clinton was hospitalized earlier today, and is doing well after receiving two stents in his heart.

President Clinton is in good spirits, and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts,” adviser Doug Band said in a statement. The former president, who had quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, was to stay the night at Columbia Campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was admitted earlier Thursday.

Michelle Malkin gives us a gentle reminder that the excellent medical care the former president received is not due to some government bureaucracy.

Now, a timely reminder: Stents don’t grow on trees. They were not created, developed, marketed, or sold by government bureaucrats and lawmakers. One of the nation’s top stent manufacturers, Boston Scientific, has weighed in on the Democrats’ proposed massive taxes on medical device makers:…..

I’m sure we’ll hear in the coming days that the superior care Clinton received can be available for everyone, if only the democrats can pass ObamaCare. Just remember where all the innovation in the field of medicine comes from. It’s not the government.

Maybe you’re not aware, but Bill Clinton receives government healthcare.

And in Europe, a friend of mine waited a YEAR for this relatively routine procedure–after a delay and reschedule because the hospital didn’t have “a special tool”. WTH?! There is nothing wrong with the health care system in the United States. It’s the best on the planet (except perhaps for Israel). The only crisis is a bunch of candy asses who think they deserve it all for free.

Speaking as someone looking at a fresh hospital bill I wish I didn’t have to struggle to pay. But I know I owe it, I know I received excellent care, and would be ashamed to try to stiff my doctors.

Maybe Bill can spearhead a movement to address tort reform so everyone can enjoy that same level of care, hey?

Didn’t see old Billy-Boy running up to Canada to get on the waiting list.

TV: Slick Willie’s Healthcare, while “government” is a program of entitlement for the ruling class elite.

To call it “Cadillac” would be an understatement.

This is were I point out those who are trying to “fix” the healthcare “crisis” will NOT have to use the same system they are trying to force on us.
