I received a link to the Newsmax interview of Jeb Bush, with the teaser that he called Charlie Crist’s support of Obama’s stimulus bill “unforgiveable” and said Obama’s “charting a dangerous course.” Before I had a chance to watch the interview I read this.
Though he had some nice things to say about [Sarah Palin's] “charisma,” it was clear that Bush thinks Palin doesn’t have the intellectual heft to occupy the oval office. He said that Palin’s success depends on her willingness to add a “depth of understanding of the complexity of life we’re living in today” to her rhetoric.
“That’s up to her,” he said. “I mean, I don’t know what her deal is, but my belief is in 2010 and 2012, public leaders need to have intellectual curiosity.”
Sarah Palin hasn’t announced any intention to run in 2012. Other than her support for John McCain, she’s doing some good things for the conservative movement. There’s no need to bash her. Crist, on the other hand, is a RINO who not only supported, but embraced, Obama’s dreadful stimulus package, and he wants to be a United States Senator. Jeb ought to save his criticism for those truly deserving of it. Instead he opened his mouth and joined the ranks of the elitists that are annoying to the rest of us.

Totally agree with you. Every time I hear a supposed “good guy” (or gal) make some snide comment about Sarah Palin, I lose respect for the one making the comment. I think Palin is plenty smart enough to lead this country; we don’t need an intellectual genius in the WH, they usually do much more harm than good. Sarah Palin is honest, courageous, and has a moral core, which is a heck of a lot more than many can offer us.
And she’s a lot smarter than they give her credit for.
Good post, thanks!
