This is the problem when history is re-written by leftists. I wonder how many of those who have a favorable view of socialism realize that Hitler was a socialist. I wonder how many are aware of the crimes against humanity committed by socialists and communists of all stripes. Hitler committed genocide against the Jews based on race, communists committed (and commit) genocide against their own people based on class. There’s really no difference, other than the fact the Hitler was re-cast as a “right winger” when the left had to disavow him when his crimes became known. To save face they simply covered, and continue to cover for, the crimes of the rest of the socialist and communist regimes of the world.
Gallup: More than one-third of Americans (36%) have a positive image of “socialism,” while 58% have a negative image. Views differ by party and ideology, with a majority of Democrats and liberals saying they have a positive view of socialism, compared to a minority of Republicans and conservatives.
“Socialism” was one of seven terms included in a Jan. 26-27 Gallup poll. Americans were asked to indicate whether their top-of-mind reactions to each were positive or negative. Respondents were not given explanations or descriptions of the terms.
Americans are almost uniformly positive in their reactions to three terms: small business, free enterprise, and entrepreneurs. They are divided on big business and the federal government, with roughly as many Americans saying their view is positive as say it is negative. Americans are more positive than negative on capitalism (61% versus 33%) and more negative than positive on socialism (36% to 58%).
I guess there’s some hope seeing that the majority of Americans view capitalism and free enterprise favorably. The problem is that the other third are the radicals who will stop at nothing to get their way.

(Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. GET CONTROL OF THE SCHOOLS. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

Not another conservative who keeps comparing Socialism to Hitler…
Hitler was a NATIONAL Socialist, not a Socialist. Although the name suggests they are similar, they are two completely different things. In Nazi Germany, people were killed because they were either Jewish, not-white, unpatriotic, a conscientous objector, liberal or even if they looked ‘dodgy’. First of all, those are all appearances and viewpoints; socialists advocate freedom of speech and relish the opportunity for people from all racial backgrounds to mix.
Go and read up on ideologies, you clearly know next to nothing about socialism.

Correct! Hitler was the leader of the German national socialist party, NAZI was an acronym. He controlled the economy with Fascism because Socialism is too administratively intensive. Both, Socialism and Fascism are Leftist ideology, meaning on one extreme end of the political structural spectrum, next to Totalitarianism.

False; its history and you either don’t know it or deny it. Socialism chooses winners and losers; there is no equal opportunity, only equal outcome for “the greater good”. They drive wedges into any differences a people may have to the gain of the political rule and garnishment. It’s the most unfair, cruel, insensitive ideological structure used as but a stepping stone to Communism under the guise of “fairness” and “equality” always ending with gun barrels on the populous. If you’re a progressive; progressive to what? Show me different Joshua; show me where Socialism anywhere, anytime trumps our founding documents in America. Individual liberty is the natural being of men.
