The only industries the Democrats are friendly to are the ones their taking over. The only businesses they’re friendly to are the ones who give them campaign cash.
Politico:Internal Toyota documents derided the Obama administration and Democratic Congress as “activist” and “not industry friendly,” a revelation that comes days before the giant automaker’s top executives testify on Capitol Hill amid a giant recall.
According to a presentation obtained under subpoena by the House Oversight and Government Relations committee, Toyota referred to the “changing political environment” as one of its main challenges and anticipated a “more challenging regulatory” environment under the Obama administration’s purview.
I’m not defending Toyota for the problems they brought on themselves, but they do have a point about the Democrats. I’d still buy a Toyota before I’d buy a GM vehicle.

For me the timing of this is all too convenient.
Is Toyota at fault? Partly.
The rest is a bunch of hype from the left which is,in effect, a shakedown of Toyota.
It’s not working because the market share lost by Toyota was picked up by Honda and Ford.
GM and the union thugs still lose out.
Obama loses out.
The question is will Toyota have the cajones to call out the Dems on this.

Toyota & Honda dropped the ball on handling the recalls , they should have came forward with a full disclosure. Instead of waiting for a huge media blitz and tons of public pressure. But Toyota & Honda are not alone , I never seen so many car companies having recalls all at the same time. I had no idea my car which is not even a Toyota or Honda, was affected until I searched on http://www.carpedalrecall.com and found I had a bad Anti Lock control unit on my 2008 Pontiac G8 , So be careful check daily, it seems more and more cars are being recalled .
