Video Highlights from the ObamaCare Summit Part 1

Obama’s mood went from cheerful to dour as the health care dog and pony show summit went on. I guess he doesn’t like being confronted with the truth.

Congressman Ryan did the best job of stating the case for free market, conservative solutions to increasing access and bringing down costs.

Rep. Ryan was on fire, telling Obama his health care plan is a fiscal disaster, and that hiding spending doesn’t reduce spending.

Paul Ryan isn’t the only House Republican President Obama regrets inviting. He scolded Rep. Eric Cantor.

Video below the fold.

Vice President Joe Biden had a moment of honesty. Turn up the volume (via Breitbart) He said it’s easy to be Vice President because he does nothing.

Part 2 will be posted momentarily.

Rep. Ryan did a good job of presenting the mathematical portion of the Republican presentation. Sen. Grassley was on the ball with his reading of the law about Medicare Advantage and his repeated statements that one dollar cannot be double-spent. The Republican fact-presentations just kept coming, while the platitudes of the Democrats didn’t carry the audience. The Dems very obviously deferred to the President. However, one of the great things about the Republicans is that they had no designated leader or moderator, except as wrap up. The Republicans carried on anyway. This reminded me of the millions of bloggers and posters like we are who have no obvious leader, but take it upon ourselves to carry on anyway.
