Democrat Representative Tim Ryan must think his constituents are savage beasts. He canceled a scheduled town hall meeting, citing fears of violence.
The Hill: Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) canceled a town hall on the new healthcare law Tuesday because of concerns about the security of the event.
The congressman’s office cited safety issues at the facility where the meeting was to take place and threats to his office, according to a report by News21.
“We just thought it best to cancel it for safety concerns. This was not meant to be a place where we’re going to talk partisan politics,” Pat Lowry, a member of Ryan’s staff, told News21. “Don’t get me wrong, Congressman Ryan will debate anyone, anytime.”
The cancelation comes a week after many lawmakers received threats because of their votes on the healthcare measure.
Rep. Dan Maffei must also fear his constituents, since he won’t schedule a town hall meeting. But he will meet with Astro Turf OFA folks.
Democrats are cowards. They ask for your vote, then they refuse to face you after selling you down the river while trampling the Constitution.

Oh the arrogance! They can ram this bill down our throats and then claim “security concerns” when we want to voice our opinions about it?? If the bill is so great and they were SO proud that it was passed, I’m sure the “security concerns” could be handled with more police presence (not that it would be needed).
Cowards is the perfect title for them. We must let them hear us loud and clear in November!

Last week, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D) (Ohio 9th) reserved the Hall at the Toledo Public Library to meet with her Constituents to explain the new Health Care Law, and answer questions.
HOWEVER, Five hours before the event, Congresswoman Kaptur canceled the hall and the meeting. So, I decided to have the meeting anyway and video tape the Questions.
Perhaps she could re-schedule the meeting, or, if not, she can review these videos and answer the questions.
