I’ve enjoy Glenn Beck’s show. Even last night I liked the whole thing about the bald commie. But then this.
Update: Sorry, Fox News removed the video. Glenn Beck called Geert Wilders a right wing fascist. See below for more.
If Glenn Beck doesn’t understand the difference between the left and the right, he’s not worth watching. No matter what he says about the commies.
H/T Dan Reihl who notes Beck didn’t even get the names right, even with his big staff.
Reaganite Republican linked – go read what he has to say. I tend to agree.
Update: RR and I aren’t the only ones who are angry about Beck’s comments.
The Other McCain had video of Brett Baier, apparently making similar statements about Wilders being a far right extremist, but the video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Fox News. Neither is the Beck video. This is the first time I’ve seen them do that. Oh, look, my video’s not working either.
While searching for a replacement video I came across The Right Scoop, who has video of two interviews Glenn Beck has done with Geert Wilders. Beck called Wilders a “brave” hero. So, what happened to change his opinion? And why did AB Stoddard, Charles Krauthammer and Bill Kristol dismiss Wilders as some sort of right wing demagogue?

Glenn Beck is a dangerous fool, imo- and is starting to do some real damage now.

Sad but true, Reaganite. I really want to find Ayn Rand, myself. I don’t need all of the ridiculous emotion and vitriol…I just need that Rand kind of mind.

At times, we’re rather quick in dismissing all the plusses for a few minuses. Glenn has done some pretty informative and effective communications. Some of us point out he’s “dangerous” or “a loose cannon”, etc. People make mistakes and will continue to. I’m willing to give him a “mulligan” on this one for sure. Maybe he’ll make a clarification, maybe not. My point is that Glenn should not be the issue we critique; at least most of us are aware enough to know when he has made a mistake and I would think after listening to him he would be proud of us. If you don’t like him, don’t watch or listen to his product, but I have a feeling that those that have been, will.

If there is one person in Europe that a conservative shouldn’t pick on, it is Wilders. He is one of the very few showing any common sense or spine enough to stand to the political correctness sweping the world.

I stopped watching Beck for a while now. You all need to remember and understand one thing about Beck.
He is a Libertarian….not a Republican and most importantly
He was bashing BUSH and the GOP back when they were in office.

Fox may be blocking the video because R. Murdoch said not too long ago that he wanted to start charging for all News Corp stuff on the Web – maybe it’s begun?

That’s what I thought. So I checked some other Fox News videos that weren’t put out by Fox. They were working just fine.

Very good catch LC! I haven’t read where anyone else is asking that question. My ears perked up last night when I heard all of them singing the same song. Personally, I think that at the least they don’t want the wrath of CAIR and at the most, don’t want to end up like Theo van Gogh. Fear is a powerful force.

Owner of Fox, Rupert Murdoch, opening up global news service in Abu Dhabi. News Corp is 7% owned by Alwaleed Kingdom. Muslims. Wilders. Nah, it’s just my mind playing tricks again. Right? Right??
