Robert Gibbs told reporters he doesn’t know why the Supreme Court Justices would be uncomfortable at criticism by the President at the State of the Union address. You know, as Justice Roberts recently pointed out, where they’re surrounded by politicians cheering and jeering while decorum requires the Justices to sit quietly by.
Well, nobody’s ever accused this administration of having good manners.
The same can be said for Harry Reid, who wanted to get in on the action.
Now, Harry Reid has entered the ring. Yesterday, at a meeting with liberal bloggers, the Senate Majority Leader took a swing at Roberts.
“Do you think John Roberts knows or cares how people get elected?” Reid said, adding that the justices on the court lack understanding of the practical impact of their decisions.
A spokesman for Reid said the senator backs Obama’s push for legislation to more closely regulate corporate campaign spending.
Um,why should a judge consider the practical or political implications of a ruling?

The Schmeck Czar strikes again.
