Loose Ends – Dr. Evil Edition

There aren’t enough hours in the day for this little blogger to keep up with all the news. This is what I’ve missed:

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is doing what every governor, heck, every politician in America should be doing. He’s telling the truth! It’s about time someone did. Who knows, maybe he can start a trend.

Have you heard about the questions the US Census will be asking? Some had some questions for them, but they refused to answer. Check out Smitty’s post at The Other McCain and watch the video. It’s maddening.

Camp of the Saints has the latest on health care. Now is the time to stand athwart history and yell stop! Also, check out Erick Erickson’s post about the possibility of Bart Stupak selling out the pro-lifers. And when did Howard Dean become the Democrat Party’s voice of reason. (Sort of.)

For the latest in green idiocy, head over to Always on Watch. The city of Washington, DC is charging user fees for grocery bags. Where will it end?

Ed Morrissey provides more evidence that the Obama administration is clueless when it comes to the economy. (Or are they?) While they’ve been having fun verbally assaulting banks and financial institutions, the CBO reported that the bank fees won’t be paid by the banks. They’ll be paid by us. Something tells me Dear Leader will dismiss that report.

Speaking of the CBO, they figure Obama’s deficits will be higher than he told us. What a shock! I’m not sure if they’re counting on tax hikes causing a decrease in revenue. Probably not. So it will probably be even worse than they predict. It’s really mind boggling that people are still driving around in cars that look like this!

The old communists in Russia are pining away for the good old days. They think Stalin was the bee’s knees! What’s the death of 27 million Soviet citizens between comrades?

Oh, here he goes again. Another Black Conservative has the scoop on John McCain trying to form another gang of 14 to stop reconciliation. So far no Democrats have signed on. Not that it matters, as the action is in the House. He could have a gang of 100 and it wouldn’t make a darned bit of difference.

I’m not Italian, but should I change the name of the blog to Da Lonely Conservative? It’s all the rage these days. Or do you think it’s just a fad?
