Next Up: Cap and Tax

Now that they know they can ram legislation through despite the objections of a majority of Americans, the Democrats will charge full steam ahead with their agenda. Next up, cap and tax.

Breitbart: After a hard-fought victory on health care reform, President Barack Obama’s allies in Congress are setting their sights on climate change — but some on both sides are already crying foul.

Environmentalists hope Obama will seize on new political momentum to push forward climate legislation, though some observers question whether he would seek another divisive vote as November congressional elections approach.

Senator John Kerry, who has spearheaded climate legislation, said that White House officials can now “pour their energy and attention” into the issue after Sunday’s down-to-the-wire vote on expanding health care coverage.

“In the wake of health care’s passage, we have a strong case to make that this can be the next breakthrough legislative fight,” the Massachusetts Democrat argued.

“Climate legislation is the single best opportunity we have to create jobs, reduce pollution and stop sending billions overseas for foreign oil from countries that would do us harm,” Kerry said.

These people prove time and again that they have no clue how jobs are created.

I wonder what lengths they’ll go to to ram this through.

Huh….and here I was thinking shamnesty for illegals would be next.

Jobs-killer plain and simple. Make America’s own, abundantly available resources like coal and natural gas unaffordable, not only would you decimate jobs in the mining and oil/natural gas drilling and exploration industries, you would put the railroaders, truckers and shippers who service mines or natural gas wells out of work, close down power plants, raise the energy costs for consumers and businesses, raise the cost of shipping goods to market and raise the cost of pretty much anything that requires being sent to market by train, truck, ship, airfreight or barge.

Here’s one of the small businesses doing well despite the 0bamanomics and the stimulus:

Creating jobs in a county with unemployment of 9% or more? We can’t have that!!

If I was in a position of power for some reason got sick of the United States of America being the worlds remaining superpower, I would definitely pass this after ramming through a costly an unpopular entitlement program.

We have a moratorium on hydrofracking here. It’s insane. Our state is broke, worse than broke – but we can’t get our own resources out of the ground. If these socialists really cared about spreading the wealth around…..
