Nice: Obama’s Selling Judgeships to Pass ObamaCare

He’ll stop at nothing. Dog and pony show? Check! Lying about bringing down costs? Check! Lying about deficit reduction? Check! Lying about keeping your health insurance? Check! Urging the Senate to violate the Constitution, tradition and Senate rules to ram it through? Check! (Gives whole new meaning to the term “nuclear medicine,” doesn’t it.)

As Robert Gibbs said, he’ll do whatever it takes. He and Nancy Pelosi have acted pretty confident, even though she doesn’t have the votes, and we all know she doesn’t have the votes. So, what to do? What to do? How can they wrangle enough votes to jam this horrid legislation through? Why, sell a judgeship, of course!

Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he’s obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson’s brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Well, isn’t that convenient timing?

The question isn’t what he’ll do next to ram this through. The question is, what won’t he do? I think he’s made it clear he’s willing to wallow in the muck to ram this poison pill down our throats.
