Did you catch Dear Leader on Fox News? Bret Baier did his best to get him to answer a few direct questions. There was a lot of spin, and dodging . I almost think he went on Fox News as a way of flipping us all off. As if to say “Screw you Americans, I’m the president and I’m going to ram this through whether you like it or not.”
Baier told Shepard Smith the interview was “combative.” (Video via Radio Vice Online, via Hot Air)
I watched the interview while I was making dinner. It ruined my appetite.
It did get a little more confrontional than what you see in the video above. I think Baier did a good job, considering his interview subject.
Fox News: “I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate,” Obama said. “What I can tell you is that the vote that’s taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. And if people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform. And I don’t think we should pretend otherwise. And if they don’t, if they vote against it, then they’re going to be voting against health care reform and they’re going to be voting in favor of the status quo.
“So Washington gets very concerned with these procedures in Congress, whether Republicans are in charge or Democrats are in charge,” he said.
So, he doesn’t care about procedure now. But he used to.

I saw it as well and Bret did a pretty good job making him squirm. Dear Leader, feeling a bit stressed afterwards, probably resigned to the living quarters to watch his “Triumph of the Will” DVD in a loop for a few hours to regain his composure.

I completely agree LC! I also think it was just a way of flipping of the views of Fox and to say – “this is what I’m going to do, like it or not; besides you’re (Americans) are too stupid to understand procedural rules anyway”
From the first question he had a scowl on his face – that’s when I knew the interview wasn’t going to go well. He doesn’t look like that when he’s getting his softball questions and getting his butt kissed on NBC/CBS/ABC.
I would have been nice if he had answered just ONE question directly instead of bloviating on and on about something NOT related to the question asked. It was left talking points galore.

oops, the “you’re (Americans)” in the second sentence should read “you (Americans)”. It’s early here, please excuse the bad grammar **embarrassed**

I read that while Fox aired this interview, ABC News spent a whole two minutes talking about his March Madness bracket!
He was his usual arrogant self. He’s not a leader, just a bad salesman. I for one am getting really sick of his sales pitch.
