Obama acting shocked and having no idea that another one of his policital appointees held such radical views while defending his decision with the boilerplate “That’s not the _____ <– [insert name of criminal, anti-semite or America-hating punk here] follwed by the MSM wondering what the big deal is and falling back on the almost 100-year old talking points like ‘Unions gave us weekends and holidays, y’know!’ while decrying the ‘teabaggers’ all out assault on the American worker.

This appointment is just another facet in this ongoing acceleration of statist policy and rule. Putting in places of authority the most ardent, high profile supporters of a radical ideology somewhat insulates the administration. To actually accuse them of the outrageous stealthy truth would make one look irrational to the uninformed.
They’ve been playing this old tactic that the Republicans have locked up on as of late. That is, if the truth is so controversial, before accused of the obvious, deny it verbally outright and let the opposition create the confrontation. This is why Obama says “I’m not a Socialist” when the cameras are rolling. He’s actually calling them out to dare them to say he’s a liar and he’s smart enough to know that the Republican opposition politicos won’t rock the boat that much, and will take the “high road” of submissive silence.
I don’t know when the Republicans will reach critical mass and challenge these false statements with fact and enough vigor to attract the attention of the MSM which will continue to be the guardian of any leftist regime or policy. We all can see chinks in the armor by the widespread MSM downsizing and failures directly due to the content or more accurately the lack of, in their product that fortunately, at least for now, is still affected by the forces of capitalism.
I think there was a line in a movie, “you can’t handle the truth”, well; most Americans have proudly lived up to that statement largely due to our public school system. Fortunately, due to leaps in technology and alternate News portals and outlets, we are coming to that capacity much faster than the progressives and statists would like.
