The Only Way Out of this Mess – Updated
ByThe more I think about it, the more I believe an Article V convention is the only way out of the mess we’re in. We now have a government that’s out of control. They not only trample the Constitution, they do so against our wishes while arrogantly rubbing our noses in it.
I wrote about this about a week ago.
The founders were brilliant, and they had the foresight to give us a remedy for the exact situation we find ourselves in today. This is the hope and change we’ve been waiting for. The ultimate check on the federal government.
Update: Here is why an Article V convention is probably the only way this thing will ever get repealed. We can’t have Republicans promising to tinker around the edges of a disastrous policy. It won’t work.
Professor Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) talked to Professor Randy Barnett of Georgetown University (Volokh Conspiracy) about the Constitutionality of Obamacare and what to do about it. This is a must see video.
Randy Barnett will participate in an Article V symposium on April 9th in Washington, DC, with radio host Mike Church and others. Read more on Barnett’s Constitution Restoration proposal here. Whether it’s a joint resolution, or an Article V convention, something must be done.

The Dems have “Constitution Deficit Disorder”
and need “Impeachment Therapy” immediately.
Liberals can find all sorts of stuff in the Constitution that aren’t there, but can’t find the things that are there.
I would like to see the Article V Convention convoked. It would put thefear of God into corporate politicians and their masters. Likely the only thing which could possibly be ratified today would be a national standard for voting and voter registration.
Just coming together as a nation would show us that there are things which the Right and the Left agree on. That would be a good thing.
I snatched the video and linked you on this. I am so very hopeful about the Supreme Court and I Barnett certainly adds to that hope.
