I was reading the newspaper this morning and was a little bit surprised at the poll they published showing the Democrats having a 3 point lead over Republicans in a generic congressional poll.
The latest Rasmussen poll shows Republicans leading by 10 points. The RCP average has Republicans up by 1.6. I do see that RCP shows two pollsters showing Democrats with an advantage. But that’s not the point. Why did the Post Standard chose a Daily Kos poll? They didn’t publish it on line so I had to scan it.
See. Daily Kos.
If you don’t believe this was in the Post Standard, I also scanned the front page, above the fold.
This is the opinion section from today, Sunday March 21, 2010.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the website Daily Kos, you can read about it here and here. The Post Standard’s a shill for Obama and the Democrats. Their idea of a conservative columnist is David Brooks. The only reason I haven’t canceled my subscription is so I can keep an eye on them.
On a related note, Stacy McCain wrote a long but interesting essay on blogging and journalism that’s definitely worth a read.

Our Pravda, The St. Pete Times also heralded a Daily Pus (is that Kos?) poll showing Rubio only 1 point ahead of Democrat Meek, but Crist beating him by 5 points. Polls can say whatever you want them to say. Rubio would probably be up by 10 in an honest poll.

Has anyone seen Kos himself? He was identified to me in a Ned Lamont campaign video a few years back that played out like a Mentos commercial.
Creepy, slimy little bastard. I would not be the least bit surprised to see his smarmy little mug on some online registered sex-offenders database.
